What accessories I need to buy with a new bike ? How much should I spend on the accessories ? are a couple of questions often asked by our clients. Well ! there is a whole range of accessories in various price brackets available for the bikers. If you have the spending power then obviously, you will go for all the possible accessories available at the bike shop. But if you have a tight budget then what ?.......here is our attempt to put up a list of MUST HAVE ACCESSORIES and OTHER ACCESSORIES while purchasing a new bike.......in order of their importance....
The must have decent accessories will cost minimum Rs. 2500/- in addition to the cost of the bike.
MUST HAVEs
1. Good Quality Helmet (a helmet costing Rs. 1400/- to Rs. 2000/- is decent enough)
2. Hydration system (Water bottles with bottle holders on the frame or hydration pack, a of decent water bottle and a holder will cost around Rs. 500/- minimum)
3. Floor pump with gauge and/or Frame mountable pump (Floor pump with gauge or High end Frame Pump with Gauge is a must for Road bikes, for Mountain bikes a good frame pump will do. This will cost as low as Rs. 250/- for frame pump and Rs. 700/- for a decent floor pump with a gauge)
4. A spare tube (cost between Rs. 200 to Rs. 500/-)
with these accessories you ready to do self reliant long rides
OTHER ACCESSORIES ....in order of importance.....can be bought over the period as you start doing regular rides.

3. Puncture repair kit
4. Saddle bag
5. A kick stand (if really want have one)

7. Biking specific clothing (Padded shorts, Jerseys....)
